Video for developing calmness thru capturing

25 Nov

Another video from KikoPup, this time on building calmness. It’s so easy to forget to reward calmness since the dog isn’t doing anything to draw your attention. I can tell you from experience that rewarding attention-seeking behaviors will lead to a very interactive (but seldom calm) dog!

Hello Barry! Thank you for visiting, I’m glad you enjoyed the site! For assistance with the topics you mentioned I would suggest finding a blog that specifically addresses them. I’m not a qualified behaviorist and only pass along material that I find interesting or helpful. A behaviorist whom I greatly admire is Dr Patricia McConnell (http://www.patriciamcconnell.com/). My website is simply to chronicle the life and adventures of my own dog, which is why other dogs are not featured, and I try to only address issues with which I have experience. Thanks for stopping by!
